The New Issues Centre

The New Issues Centre is a valuable source of information, comment and analysis covering Future, Current, and Recent share issues on all UK markets. There is also archive material covering virtually all companies that have floated since 2002.

For many companies we also provide access to original prospectuses. These may be downloaded in Adobe format.

How to Use the New Issues Centre

The New Issues Centre is free. Simply use the menu on the left to navigate to the relevant section.
For comment on individual companies just click on the company name in the future, current, or recent tables, listed in the box on the left.

To access prospectuses and external analysis go to the appropriate links in the relevant tables.

 

About New Issues

New Issues provide both private individuals and institutions with the opportunity to invest in a company's shares when they are first quoted on the stockmarket. In London there are three alternative market listings. Shares may either be offered on the Main Market, the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) or on the smaller PLUS facility. There are basically four ways by which a new issue can come to the market :-

1. Introduction/Listing
Where the shares in a company are already held in accordance with Stock Exchange requirements and a company does not want to raise additional capital. In this case, the existing shares are simply listed and there is no opportunity for new investors to participate until trading commences on the open market.
2. Placing
Is where shares are offered on a selective basis - normally only to institutions or to clients of the sponsoring broker.
3. Intermediaries Offer
Similar to a Placing except stockbrokers can make applications on behalf of their own clients.
4. Offer for Sale
Where shares are generally offered both to private individuals and institutions through a public offer for sale.
